Specialized Scar Concealment

Hair Transplant & Surgical Scar Camouflage

Seamlessly conceal FUT strip lines, FUE extraction marks, and scalp trauma scars with advanced micro-follicle pigmentation in Sydney.

Flawless Concealment

Restore Balance to Scarred Scalp Tissue

Hair restoration surgery can deliver improved hair density in recipient areas, but procedures often leave permanent scarring across the donor zone. Linear FUT (strip) scars and circular FUE (punch extraction) marks can restrict how short you cut your hair and cause self-consciousness.

Our Hair Transplant & Surgical Scar Camouflage treatment uses specialized Scalp Micropigmentation to deposit custom-matched organic pigments directly into and around the scarred tissue. By breaking up the stark contrast between pale scar tissue and surrounding hair follicles, the scar blends into your natural hair pattern, allowing you to wear shorter hair styles comfortably.

Tailored Solutions

Comprehensive Scar Camouflage Expertise

FUT Strip Scars (Follicular Unit Transplantation)

Linear surgical scars running horizontally across the back or sides of the head. We fill in the hairless band with micro-follicle impressions to blend it with surrounding natural hair.

FUE Extraction Scars (Follicular Unit Extraction)

Scattered, circular dot-like scars across the donor zone. We deposit targeted pigment impressions into each extraction void to restore uniform scalp texture.

Surgical & Neurosurgical Scars

Head trauma, cranial surgery, or cyst removal scars that have left smooth, hairless patches on the scalp.

Accidental & Burn Scars

Uneven scalp scarring resulting from accidental lacerations, sports injuries, or burns.

Why Scar Tissue Requires Expert SMP Application

01

Altered Tissue Texture

Scar tissue is firmer, thicker, and less porous than standard scalp tissue, requiring precise needle depth to prevent pigment blowouts.

02

Pigment Retention Control

Scarred skin often absorbs and sheds pigment at different rates, which is why treatments are completed gradually across 2 to 3 sessions.

03

Custom Colour Matching

Luca custom-blends organic, carbon-based pigments to harmonize with both the scarred skin undertone and surrounding natural hair follicles.

Ideal Candidates for Scar Camouflage SMP

Individuals with visible FUT linear strip scars from previous hair transplant surgery

Men with diffuse or patchy circular FUE punch extraction scars across their donor zones

Anyone wanting the freedom to wear shorter haircuts without revealing exposed surgical lines

Individuals with scalp scars resulting from accidental trauma, head injuries, or neurosurgical procedures

People with previous patchy graft work seeking a seamless follicular blend between hairless scar tissue and natural hair

What to Expect

3 Steps to Seamless Scar Concealment

01

Session 1 (Test Patch & Base Layer)

We evaluate the age and texture of the scar, mix custom pigments, and place a light foundational layer to assess how the scar tissue accepts the pigment.

02

Session 2 (Density & Edge Softening)

Conducted 10–14 days later. We feather the borders and add layered depth across the scar line to match the density of surrounding hair follicles.

03

Session 3 (The Perfecting Finish)

Scheduled 10–14 days after Session 2 to inspect healed pigment absorption, fill any residual gaps, and ensure a completely blended finish.

Got Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

The scar must be fully healed and settled. We recommend waiting at least 6 to 12 months after your hair transplant or surgical procedure before undergoing scar camouflage.

Scalp Micropigmentation does not change the physical texture or ridge of a scar, but it eliminates the visual color contrast. By placing follicle replicas into the pale scar tissue, the scar becomes visually undetectable under normal viewing distances.

Scar tissue can have altered nerve sensitivity; some areas may feel numb, while others can be slightly more sensitive. Overall, discomfort remains minimal and well-tolerated, usually rating around 2 to 4 out of 10.

Results generally last between 3 to 6 years. Because we use organic, carbon-based pigments formulated specifically for the scalp, the pigment softens naturally over time without turning blue or green.

Yes. Many clients choose to conceal their donor area scars while simultaneously adding density to the crown or rebuilding their frontal hairline.

It depends on your current hair length and scar type. If you wear your hair short, keeping it trimmed helps ensure the best blend. If you have longer hair covering the scar, Luca can section the hair and treat the scar directly without shaving your head.
